The home already featured a strong floor plan, quality materials, and solid construction, but evolving lifestyles, advancing technology, and shifting design preferences created an opportunity to update key living spaces. The kitchen and family room were refreshed to reflect more current proportions, materials, and functionality, while preserving the home’s original character and craftsmanship.
Outdoors, a generously scaled covered patio significantly expanded the home’s usable living space, creating a year-round connection well suited to life in Vancouver WA. Throughout the project, material selections prioritized longevity, low maintenance, and visual continuity, resulting in a cohesive update that feels both timeless and modern.
